Denys put together a new band for this new commission which has made a huge impact on the jazz scene – he toured it nationally and internationally and his recording with Dune Records earned him nominations for Best Album and Best New Work at the 2003 BBC Jazz Awards. This Cheltenham performance was voted Gig of the Year by John Fordham in The Guardian in his round up of jazz highlights of 2003.
